Did you think my eyes were foolish?

That they couldn’t read between the lines,

To know that every helping hand

Has it’s fees and fines.

Did you ever think, they would see

Through your deceit and lies?

Or once again, all you seen

Were my foolish eyes

So if you looked into them today

Would you expect to see a tear?

Or would you be afraid,

They have finally began to see clear?

Although you’re both, cunning and clever.

Two faces are always hard to hide.

My eyes were never blinded by your poor sincerity.

You will never take my pride.

Did you think my eyes would deceive me?

They were never foolish from the start.

But, I’d rather have foolish eyes,

Than to have your selfish heart.
